Open a secure document

Your accountant, payroll provider or adviser has sent you an .indexo file and, separately, a password. Drop the file below and type the password: the document opens in your browser. It is sent nowhere, not even to Indexo.

Your document

You were given it separately: by phone, by text message or in person. Capitals and dashes in a password suggested by Indexo don’t matter.

How it works

  • The document was encrypted on the computer of the person sending it, with the password they gave you (256-bit AES encryption, key derived from the password with PBKDF2).
  • Here it is decrypted in your browser: neither the file, nor the password, nor the document goes through a server.
  • Without the right password, the file is unreadable, even for Indexo.
