How we check

  • To the cent. A case matches if the difference does not exceed the tolerance given by the source: €0.01 for a payslip line, €1 for an annual benefit rounded to the euro.
  • The same engine everywhere. The calculator, the example pages and the tools use the same calculation engine: a case checked here holds for every page.
  • Rerun at every update. The site is not published if a check fails.
  • The limits are published. What the calculation does not cover is listed on Method and sources.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Indexo give a different figure from another simulator?

Because they do not all follow the same path: some leave out the work bonus, the special social security contribution or the fiscal work bonus, others use parameters from another period. The cases on this page show that Indexo matches the amounts on real payslips to the cent.

My payslip differs by a few euros: is that an error?

Not necessarily. The difference often comes from information your employer has and the calculator does not: dependent children declared, your spouse’s situation, overtime, benefits in kind, working pattern. Check line by line with Check my payslip.

What happens to the amounts I report?

The site stores nothing. The ‘Report a difference’ button opens your email with a text to complete; if you send it, the email is used only to correct the calculation, and a confirmed case is added to the checks, without any personal data.
