Frequently asked questions
Where do the glossary’s definitions and amounts come from?
Each amount comes from the parameters of Indexo’s engine, in force on 1 October 2026, or from a published source cited in the entry. The examples are calculated by the same engine as the calculator. A secondary source (social secretariat, trade union) is always flagged.
Why does the glossary give the Dutch term?
Because many French speakers receive documents in Dutch: a payslip from a Flemish employer, a tax assessment notice (‘aanslagbiljet’), a letter from the National Social Security Office (‘RSZ’). Each Dutch term was taken from a document we read, cited in the entry.
Are the 2027 amounts in the glossary?
Not yet: as of 8 October 2026, most 2027 amounts (withholding tax scales, minimum wage, flexi-job ceiling…) have not been published. Each entry concerned says so and will be updated as soon as they are, without changing address.
