Who is covered?

Joint subcommittee 140.03 (CP 140.03 in French, PC 140.03 in Dutch) covers blue-collar workers in road haulage and logistics for third parties: lorry and van drivers, couriers (driving staff), warehouse workers and storage staff (non-driving staff), garage staff. White-collar staff in these companies often come under JC 226.

How do you read the pay scale?

Drivers: the minimum depends on the job level, from 1 to 4. The level is worked out with the tool of the Fonds social Transport et Logistique (the sector social fund), which scores ten criteria: from 10–14 points for level 1 up to 26–36 points for level 4. What counts is the tasks actually carried out each day.

Logistics: the minimum depends on the job class (warehouse worker, supervision, quality control).

A seniority supplement is added per hour of work and availability after 1, 3, 5, 8, 10, 15 and 20 years in the company. The scales below apply to 38 hours a week; the 39-hour scheme, with 6 paid compensatory days off, has a slightly lower hourly wage. Wages are indexed every year on 1 January.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find out my driver level?

Your employer sets it with the Fonds social Transport et Logistique tool: ten criteria, scored on the tasks you do every day. The points total gives the level, from 1 (10 to 14 points) to 4 (26 to 36 points). The licence taken into account is the one your job requires, not every licence you hold.

Who pays the year-end bonus in road transport?

The Fonds social Transport et Logistique, not the employer. It is 5% of the gross wages declared from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026, if you earned at least €2,500 gross in the sector. It is paid by bank transfer from 20 December 2026.

What if my salary is below the JC 140.03 pay scale?

First check your category or class, and the seniority taken into account. Then ask your employer for a correction, in writing: the tool on this page drafts the message. If nothing changes, contact your trade union or the Control on Social Legislation inspectorate of FPS Employment. Pay arrears can be claimed.

How do I know if I come under JC 140.03?

The joint committee number is on your payslip and often in your contract. It depends on the company’s main activity and on your status (blue-collar or white-collar worker), not on your occupation.
