Health care (JC 330): which IFIC pay scale in 2026?
Updated on
Since 1 November 2026, withholding tax on pay has been calculated differently (Royal Decree of 27 September 2026). The calculations on this page still follow the previous rules: for pay received from 1 November, withholding tax and net pay may differ. Update in progress.
As of 1 July 2026, the minimum salary for hospital and health care workers under JC 330 ranges from €2,512.05 to €6,633.85 gross a month. At the bottom of the scale, a single person keeps €2,177.58 net a month.
Next indexation: date to be confirmed. You can check the pay scale for your job with the tool on this page.
Who is covered?
Joint committee 330 (CP 330 in French, PC 330 in Dutch) covers health care institutions and services: hospitals, care homes, home care, community health centres, rehabilitation centres… It covers both white-collar and blue-collar workers.
The pay scale on this page is the IFIC scale (job classification of the IF-IC institute). Since 2018 it has applied to private hospitals, forensic psychiatric centres, home care services, community health centres, rehabilitation centres that remain federal and the Red Cross blood services. Institutions that come under the Regions, such as care homes in Brussels and Wallonia, follow regional rules that are not included here.
How do you read the pay scale?
The minimum depends on two things:
- the IFIC category of your job: IFIC sorts 218 reference jobs into numbered categories. Your category is on your payslip or in your contract;
- your seniority, from 0 to 35 years in the published scale.
IFIC scale or original scale? Since 1 July 2021, the IFIC scales have applied at 100%. Workers hired since that date automatically receive the IFIC scale for their job; only nurses holding a certificate for the QPP-TPP bonus (BBT-BBK) choose when they are hired. Workers already employed could choose in 2018 and then in 2021: those who kept their previous scale (original scale) are not paid according to this table.
Since 1 July 2026, cents indexation has capped the increase from the 2% indexation at €80 a month (2% of €4,000) for a salary above €4,000 gross. The pay scales below take this into account.

Indexation: when does your pay scale go up?
2% in the month or the second month after the pivot index is exceeded, depending on the subcommittee. Indexation of 2% when the smoothed health index exceeds the pivot index. Indexation applies to the pay scales and to actual salaries. Your employer cannot refuse it.
| Date | Percentage | Status | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Last indexation | 1 July 2026 | +2% | Official |
| Next indexation | Date to be confirmed | +2% | To be confirmed |
- Last indexation: July 2026 (330.01, 330.02, 330.04) or August 2026, depending on the subcommittee.
- Next indexation: After the pivot index is next exceeded, forecast for November 2026 by the Planning Bureau.
If the 2% indexation is confirmed, a salary of €2,512.05 gross a month (the lowest minimum on the scale: category 4, less than a year) would rise by €50.24 gross, or about €8.13 net a month for a single person.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if I am paid on the IFIC scale?
Your payslip or contract states the IFIC category of your job. If you were hired by a private hospital on or after 1 July 2021, the IFIC scale applies automatically in principle. If you were already employed, you may have kept your previous scale: ask the HR department.
How much do you earn in IFIC category 14?
As of 1 July 2026, the IFIC scale for category 14 ranges from €3,447.52 gross a month with no seniority to €5,419.17 after 35 years, full-time. The corresponding net pay depends on your situation: the tool on this page calculates it.
What if my salary is below the JC 330 pay scale?
First check your category or class, and the seniority taken into account. Then ask your employer for a correction, in writing: the tool on this page drafts the message. If nothing changes, contact your trade union or the Control on Social Legislation inspectorate of FPS Employment. Pay arrears can be claimed.
How do I know if I come under JC 330?
The joint committee number is on your payslip and often in your contract. It depends on the company’s main activity and on your status (blue-collar or white-collar worker), not on your occupation.
